Mrs Fitton - Chair of Governors

I became a governor because I wanted to give something back to the first school my two children attended which gave them an excellent start in education and instilled in them a love of learning. I have many relevant skills to draw upon in my role as a governor as for 10 years I worked as a professional engineer in the electronics industry specialising in project management. Following the birth of my children I changed careers and now work in the education sector. As the Chair of Governors I am utilising my skill set as part of an enthusiastic team of governors who are working
hard to provide, challenge and support the school needs to ensure all children receive a high quality education. We also strive to ensure that Woodbank provides a happy, safe and secure environment which promotes high quality learning whilst also ensuring they become confident, well-rounded
children ready to make a successful transition to high school.
