I have been a school governor for the last three years. I decided to become a parent governor as I felt I could contribute some ideas to the school from my work experience. I have worked in HR/recruitment, training and education since leaving university and hoped some of this experience could be shared. As a parent who had two children at the school I also felt it was important to have an insight into the
school and their education. The role of a governor has given me a much clearer insight into the internal working of a school and I now have better understanding of the complex policies and procedures needed to run an efficient school.
