We will continue our topic on Kenya and start another topic on plants.
Here are some of our planned activities:
English – We will move onto reading a modern Kenyan folk tale. We will explore the story’s setting, plot and characters, before doing some research about life in Kenya. As usual, we will continue to work on improving our grammar, spelling, handwriting and punctuation.
Maths – We will continue to practise addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. We will also tell the time to five minutes, compare different times and recognise dates on
a calendar. Our measurement topic will focus on mass, capacity and temperature.
Science - We shall learn about a variety of plants and trees.
Geography – We will continue to learn about Kenya.
Art and Design – We will make drawings and models linked to our topics. We will also do some colour mixing.
Computing – This term’s units are on pictograms and presenting ideas.
P.E. – We will practise athletics and prepare for Sports Day.
Music – We shall learn simple songs about friendship and play repeating rhythms.
R.E. – This term’s topic is Judaism: Beliefs and Practices, following the Bury Agreed
