Welcome to Fir,

This is such a valuable year where children will develop their understanding in a variety of provision areas both indoors and outdoors.

Children will become confident learners, preparing themselves for the important steps ahead.

  Parents as Partners

We use ‘Tapestry’ as our online learning journals where you can view any of your child’s observations. Remember you can contribute too via the app with photos and videos which will support our planning and assessment.

Class News

This half term, our topic is ‘Amazing Animals’.

We will use the book ‘Blue Penguin’ by Petr Horacek, as a focus for a study of animals from cold places. We will explore their similarities and differences. We will also enjoy songs, poems and stories about animals.

P.E lessons will be on Tuesdays, so a full P.E. kit (black shorts, white t-shirt and pumps) will be required. Kits are taken home every half term for washing. Please ensure that all your child’s uniform is clearly labelled, including footwear.
