As the Local Authority Governor on Woodbank’s Governing Board I have been appointed to the post to act as a link between the Local Authority (Bury Council) and the School.
As a mother I am passionate about education and the life chances offered to our young people. Education is key to unlocking the potential of our future generations, and for improving social mobility.
Not everyone has the opportunity to influence decision making at a national level but many people can still have an impact by becoming involved at a local level.
In my day job I am a Chartered Accountant, and because of my finance background I am a member of the Resources Committee, and also of the Facilities Committee.
